The goal of the LDFLA Action Plan was to identify and evaluate water quality stressors to the lakes and to identify projects to mitigate inputs of sediments and nutrients. Environmental concerns and stressors identified by the LDFLA included channel erosion, road/ditch erosion, lakeshore encroachment, invasive species, soil erosion, nutrient loading, and flood hazards. The watershed assessment focused on the evaluation of the shoreland, tributary, roadway sources of sediment and nutrients and other concentrated sources of stormwater runoff in the watershed.
